I'd post a pic, but I'm thinking I might be the oldest member of the NADC now.

    Is There a God?

Can you explain in consideration of Newton's Laws of Motion how the universe started to spin? The photon of the sun travels to earth enters earths atmosphere hit's the ocean causes the water to evaporate which then turns to rain hitting the mountain creates work all the way to the ocean and repeat. So if there was no start than was the cycle always a cycle and the cycle has no beginning or end? If so the sun must have always shown, but science says that even the sun is finite like a fire in a fire place and that is supported by the law of thermodynamics.

The wind blew itself, the sun "shined" itself, the brain though of itself. Just because something is complex, does not mean it must have been created by a creator. But doesn't a painting reflect a painter, a car it's designer, the building it's architect?

I'm not entirely sure what kind of analogy you're trying to draw here.Well can matter be created and destroyed? Not usually, unless you converted it to energy, if I recall from high school science correctly (but my memory on this is rusty at best so ...) Even then, the laws of the conservation of energy would apply. Either way, I'm still missing the point ... We live in a world with set parameters and natural law. The law of thermodynamics and it's second law entropy is a great example of how the universe works as a system and much like a machine powered by the sun. Everything contained within the universe are subsystems even the human body works like that except human beings having emotions and reasoning. OK ... But how does that relate to the existence of god/s? I feel like I'm missing the punchline somewhere. A painting does not paint itself.

Gun Control: Do more guns = more crime?

There always needs to be a balance of power. When a vacuum of power is created and ambitious powerful bad people will seize opportunity. Oppression or slaughter will result hence a balance of power regardless of the power or technology must be maintained.

A car can not say there is no engineer, no machinist, no mechanic.

Well hello to the old friends :)

It just seems to be a trend doesn't it. Legends of the NADC for the win!
